Around the World Stampin’ Up! Challenges 33
Okay, so I’ve been a bit caught up in other things and haven’t played my turn for the Around the World Stampin’ Up! Challenges for a month or two, but I have one today WOOHOO!!
Love Love this set, and these colours together. And they were all still sitting on my desk from my Stamp by Mail cards.
I’ve started by stamping the flowers stems in Wild Wasabi, and the flower heads in Blushing Bride, Rose Red and Blackberry Bliss. I then cut them out with a Circle Framelit, and stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss.
The Painted Petals comes with two great stamps for backgrounds, the dots and stripes. I’ve stamped them on Rose Red and Soft Sky card with their matching inks. I’ve also sponged around the edges with their matching inks, and also sponged around the circle with Soft Sky.
The Circle has been mounted with Dimensionals, then Whisper White Bakers Twine wrapped around the card a few times, and tied in a bow. Topped off with a large Rhinestone.
TIP: you know how sometimes you get kinks in your ribbon and twine where it’s been wrapped around the card in the packaging? A hair straightener on a low temp works wonders to get them out 😉
I’ve finished the card off by using Dimensionals again to adhere the top panel to the card base.
I’d love for you to head over to the Challenge Blog, check out the other works of art from the Design Team Members, and have a go at this challenge yourself. We’d love to see more crafters having a go 🙂
Don’t forget that all your supplies can be purchased from my ONLINE STORE
Hi Alisa, This card is breathtaking. How did you manage to stamp the flowers in the three colours? – how do I get that two-tone effect, actually three-toned effect?
Hi Naomi, I’ve sponged on the colour 🙂
Hello Alisa,
such a beautiful card! Just WOW!
Eva

Beautiful card Alisa. I love this set too but as yet don’t own it! It’s on my wish list!
