The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge 5

Welcome to another Blog Hop Challenge with my team from The Artful Stampers.

This week it’s time for another Colour Challenge.

I’ve used Festival Of Trees for my card.

Here is the challenge graphic in case you’d like to play along along too.

Initially I was going to use Island Indigo as my main colour but being a woman I can change my mind at the at the last minute 😉

I’ve started off with the base in Pear Pizzazz.  My first layer is Pool Party, then another layer of Pear Pizzazz.  I’ve cut out a circle using one of the larger Circle Framelits, and have then run it through the Big Shot again with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  I’m not sure if you can see in the photo, but I’ve used a  Non SU (shock! horror!) item called Wink of Stella to colour the dots.  This leave a light shimmer on the card.

I then stamped the trees in Pear Pizzazz and the dots in Cherry Cobbler, and covered the dots with Dazzling Details in Cherry Cobbler too.  The tree baskets are stamped in Island Indigo.

Whoa!! Now you can see how messy I was with my Dazzling Details!  It is hand made though right? 🙂

To finish my card, I added some Cherry Cobbler Ribbon and Bakers Twine, and the stamped sentiments.
