Quick Card Making with Washi Tape

We all love quick card making right?  Washi Tape makes card making ultra quick.

For this card I just used Whisper White Cardstock and Beach House Washi Tape.  I tore strips of the Washi Tape and angled them on the first layer of Whisper White.  It makes such a good background piece.

The entire card took me around 14 minutes to create.

Here’s a close up of the flower I made for it.  I cut out a scalloped circle, stuck it lightly onto some scrap paper, popped it pack into the punch on opposite scallops to create the spiky petals.  It matches the button a little better now :)

Washi Tape Card

The best part, is that with all the patterns of Washi Tape we have, you can mix match and create an ensemble of cards.  You could even bundle them up and give them as a gift.

To show you just how quick and easy it was, I created a video for you :)

Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit

Have you had a chance to download the new Christmas Supplement yet?

I have a feeling that the BIG Seller is going to be the Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit.  Mine arrived a few days ago, and the kit is MASSIVE!!  You can make 26 Stars in a variety of sizes, with so many cool embellishments to decorate them.  The Stars seal up completely to make them a decoration, or I’m sure there’s a way to modify them to turn them into a box.

Many Merry Stars

Here’s a quick look at the Kit itself with a video from Stampin’ Up!

And if you’re looking for alternative ideas to the stars, check out this video.

If you’re reading this via an email, you’ll have to pop over to the blog to see the videos.

Don’t forget that products in the supplement are While Stocks Last, so if you’re liking the look of these babies, best get in quick.  I know demo’s are snapping them up quick 😉

Check out my ONLINE STORE where you can grab them.

How to Tie the Perfect Bow

Do you love bows on your cards but can never figure out how to hold your tongue in the right position when tying them, or feel like you need another hand and STILL can’t get them to sit right?

A couple of years back I created a video to show you just how to get the perfect bow.

This card is also from a few years back, but you could quite easily use the same layout and perhaps substitute the decorations for the new Photopolymer Tree Stamp Set and matching Punch. Perhaps using some of the beautiful new Satin Ribbons we have now.

Bow Card

Here is the video I created showing you the bow, with a handy tool I made using Chipboard and the Word Window Punch.

Just before you leave, I’d like to remind you that we are now half way through the Pick a Pack of Paper Promotion, and if you’ve been thinking of joining Stampin’ Up! either for a Business, or just to save yourself some $$, I’d love for you to think about joining my team.

Simple Stems

One of lovely team members popped up a Sketch Challenge for us in our team group the other day.

Here’s my creation.  Colours I don’t normally use either!
