Hawaii Grand Vacation Blog Hop

Hawaii Grand Vacation Blog Hop

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Hawaii Blog Hop, made up of South Pacific and North American Demonstrators who achieved Stampin’ Up!s Grand Vacation to Hawaii.  You may have come from Connie Stewart’s Blog

Well, last night my blog broke and I lost my whole post and have to write it all up again… wahhhhhh!!!  So I’m not going to tell you the story that inspired me, but I will tell you that I wanted a Hula Girl with a swaying grass skirt.

A fair bit of thought went on in my mind before I started creating, and I’m happy to say, it worked out the way I wanted it to.

I’m not normally into Punch Art, but I did quite enjoy making this card and having it all come together nicely.  The Hula Girl was found on Pinterest and the Coconut Palm was inspired by a card Clare Langsford (SU Office) sent me when I first earned the Hawaii Trip.

Here’s a closer look at some of the pieces that went into making it.

I showed my Husband, he thinks she should have a face, and a sun in the corner!

And to show you how it all works, I made a quick video.  And for the record, I can actually speak English 😉

Okay, so next we are going to hop over to Tami White’s Blog to see what she has created.

  4. Such a cute card Alisa. I love how you used colours and the punches to create all the different elements – particularly the palm tree trunk. Very clever.

  5. Well now I’m extra glad I didn’t do the punch art because it would not have been as cool as that!! Love how you made her move, that’s totally awesome! 🙂

  6. Oh how stressful having to write your blog post again! So glad everything got back up and running so you could be part of the hop. I LOVE your hula girl and the palm tree. SUPER cute combo together.
