Play time again, with more new goodies. I must say, I’m pretty impressed with the Watercolour Paper, yes it is quite expensive, but WOW, nice to work with.
I’ve made a few Gift Card Wallets using the Sassy Stems for the belly band.
I’ve used Regal Rose, Certainly Celery and the Watercolour Paper (which is like card). The stamp set is Sassy Stems and the Paisley Background. Yep, another favourite set coming up.
I have a new site to share with you all 🙂
Elite Challenges is run by the Elite Stampers, which is the group my upline Angela Sargeant has. We are all downlines in some form of Angela. The group has been set up to give the Elite Stampers challenges to do, in hope of inspiring our readers and customers.
We are only just in the beginning stages, but have a few challenges and cards on the blog already.
Go take a look and tell me what you think.
My husbands’ 2nd cousin passed away overseas very suddenly. My first sympathy card for his parents. I’ve cased this one from the new 2007/08 idea book and catalogue. The original was in vanilla, which I dont have YET.
The colours are Rose Red, Always Articoke and Whisper White. Stamp Set are Floral Background, Both Way Blossoms and a friend came to the rescue with a provo craft stamp for the ‘with sympathy’ as I didnt have anything that would fit. I’ve also used the Color Spritzer for a bit of speckle.
Yippee, NEW stamps from the NEW catalogue. I LURVE being a demo, because not only are they new stamps but they were FREE stamps, infact I got 6 FREE stamps 🙂 I need a drooling smiling there.
This one was actually a little tricky to stamp up, and a Stampamajig is a definate must when stamping this. This twig is stamped 1st generation in Mellow Moss, line up the leaves (2 separate stamps) with the jig and stamp 2nd generation in Mellow Moss. Next I used Apricot Appeal for the bottom blossom and Ruby Red for the top blossom. The Floral Background stamp is used on the card base.
I do think this set will become a favourite of mine.
ETA: I’ve often wondered where you all live. Leave a message here in this post telling me where you live, I’ll draw a name, and send you this card. I’ll close postings a week from now, that will make it the 19th April.
I whipped up this card box and cards for my neighbour for her birthday. I got the original template from the Fan Club at SCS. It was square, so I altered it to fit our standard sized cards. This was a bit of mucking around, so I kept my first box as a template, so the next time I made it, it was so easy. I made the box and four cards in an afternoon.
The colours used are Pretty in Pink, Always Articoke, Mello Moss, Bravo Burgundy, Bashful Blue.
This is the back of the box. It’s held down with a stick on velcro circle
Matching cards to go in the box with envelopes. Stamps used are Roses in Winter, Weathered, and All Year Cheer
Close up of one of the cards.
I keep forgetting to post this but I’ve got 2 projects in this months Australian Papercrafts.
Oh and I made the cover of Stamping & Papercraft last month 🙂
It’s here, it’s here!! Bigger and Better!!
View the catalogue online here or if you NEED to have your own copy they are $12.95 Great value for money as the book is once again filled with card and scrapbooking samples. If you are not in the Port Lincoln area, postage will be $5.95 sent straight from the SU warehouse. This postage is a bargain because if I had to send it from me, it would need to go in a prepaid bag, which I believe now cost $10.10. The book is that much bigger that it is now classed as a parcel!
So what’s in it that’s new?
New Stamps ,scrapbooking papers, scrapbooking kits, cardstock in single colours, limited edition colours, simply sent card making kits, colour spritzer, chipboard, new ribbons, and the list goes on!
This card is made from the new set Tag Time. I havent used bright colours for so long, it was a refreshing change. The colours are Pixie Pink, Opulent Orchid and Gable Green. Coloured with my watercolour crayons (now available in colour family packs).
So go grab a cuppa and peruse the new 2007/08 Idea Book & Catalogue 🙂
I can now offically say that I cased this card from the RETIRED catalogue 🙂 I’m sad to see this set go as I was just getting a ‘thing’ for it.
The colours are Close to Cocoa and Rose Red. I started by swiping white craft ink across my cardstock then stamping the scroll in black across the middle. Stamp the heart in Rose Red and tear around image. Crumple up some Rose Red cardstock and make a little tag with Love from Everyday Flexible Phrases. I’ve also used the new colour spritzer with the Rose Red marker to make splatters across the card.
As you all know, the new 2007 & 2008 Idea Book and Catalogue is about to be released on April 1st……………. well, I already have a copy 🙂 and I already have a stamp set that is to be a level 2 hostess gift 🙂
This card is made with Both Way Blossoms, Print Pattern and Cheesecloth Stamp Sets. (Inspired by WAXYO)
Colours are Opulent Orchid, Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa. The splatters over the front of the coloured images are made with the new Colour Spritzer.
If you’d like to pre order the new Catalogue (I’ll be placing an order on the 2nd April) just email me, or sign up for my monthly newsletter by adding your email address to the box on the right. Full details on how to get your hands on a Catalogue will be in the newsletter.
My goodness birthdays come around quick. This one is for my Grandad. I finally got my hands on some Stampbord, so I thought it was time for a play.
I took 3 pieces of stampbord and sponged them with Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, More Mustard, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke. I then stamped Balmy Breezes over all three pieces of stampbord and scratched away areas I wanted white.
The background is one of the other stamps in the Balmy Breezes set highlighted with a white gel pen.
Some of you may already know this, but Stampin’ Up! is set to open for business April 2nd 2007 in New Zealand.

If you allow me to refer you to Stampin’ Up! and you get your forms into Stampin’ Up! Australia before April 9th, and you’ll also receive an extra FREE stamp set to the value of $79.95.

Well today is my Granny’s birthday, so for her card I thought I’d try a technique I’ve not done before – Chalk Board!
Take a piece of dark card, and stamp your image using White Craft (pigment) Ink, while it’s still wet, dust on Pastels.
The colours I’ve used for this card are Rose Red, Always Artichoke and Mellow Moss. The fern background is done using the Chalk Board Technique using Mello Moss Pastel. The stamps used are Weathered Background and Petal Prints.
I made some wrapping paper for her pressie in the same colour and stamp scheme. I’m glad she liked it 🙂
Well the retired list has just become available 🙂 I’m sort of excited about theses stamps moving on as it means more to come, BUT that also means that you only have one month to get the stamps you’ve always put off getting.
And just as luck would have it, the stamp sets that I’ve used in the two cards below are being retired. So if you love them, get them before it’s too late.
