I finally did a Facebook! It’s been so long, but of course it didn’t come without difficulties *eyeroll*. Anyway, I remade my Free as a Bird card that I made the other week. But this time I used a new colour combo.
Here’s a little close up of the colouring. You can see it’s just thrown on!
And finally a replay of the Facebook Live that I did. It’s also now on YouTube.
Such a cute set don’t you think? I’m off to clean my room and play some more!
There are 4 Brand New Host Sets in this years new Annual Catalogue. I really love this set called Soft Spring. It’s made up of 2 flowers, the one I’ve used here, and I think the other might be a hanging Wisteria branch?? The set is a 2 step design, but for this card, I’ve used just the outline and coloured with my blends.
The flower stamp (I’m not actually sure what it is) has been stamped 3 times. Stamp your first image in the centre of your card, that way you can get good balance when you stamp the other images.
I splattered a bit of ink over the images, and finished off with a few coloured sequins.
Don’t forget when you spend (or have collective orders) over $250 you’ll receive $25 Free Stampin Rewards. This set is only $16.50, so it’s a BARGAIN!
PS I’m still waiting for my Paper Pumpkin to arrive so I can show you the contents! Apparently the stamp set in it is ahmazing!
Did you miss out on getting Lovely as a Tree? It’s sold out already 🙁 BUT we do have a younger alternative in Rooted in Nature. I’m giving away a Rooted in Nature Card Class FREE as a Gift with Purchase.
Here’s a little back story first though. Stampin’ Up! held a retirement party online for Lovely as a Tree, along with this came a demo challenge. Problem was, LAAT was already sold out in a few markets. So the challenge is now with Rooted in Nature. To commemorate Lovely as a Tree, SU are planting a special tree on the SU grounds. The top 3 sellers of Rooted in Nature in each country get to have their name on a plaque by the tree! How cool is that? Also, did what I just write make sense?
Anyway, the long and the short of it is, I’m offering a FREE Rooted in Nature Class 🙂
All you need to do is purchase the Rooted in Nature stamp set before the 3rd June and I’ll send you out a card class to create 6 cards (3 designs, 2 of each). You’ll be provided with all the cardstock and embellishments. Card class kit will be posted out in June. The Card Class is FREE!
You will require:
Rooted in Nature Stamp Set (matching dies are also available, but not necessary for the class) $73 Clear Mount or $126.75 Bundle (save 10%)
Tranquil Tide Ink
Mint Macaron Ink
Crumb Cake Ink
Soft Suede Ink
Adhesives & Dimensionals
When you order your Rooted in Nature Stamp Set, make sure you use the code below. After the close off date, I’ll order my supplies for the class, cut, pack and post kits out.
Okay, I’m off to make my Son’s 16th Birthday cake. He’s requested a Red Velvet Cake. Much easier than the cake my other Son chose for his 18th. You can see that one over on my Facebook Page!
PS: There’s still plenty of Paper Pumpkin Kits and Everything is Rosy Medley’s 🙂
The Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, along with many other DSP’s are now Low in Inventory.
I love this paper and it’s pretty realistic photo designs. Too pretty to cut up into smaller pieces, but great to use as backgrounds on your cards. Don’t be afraid to cut the paper. Check out my article HERE
The great thing about using pieces of DSP as the background (especially if they are busy patterns), is that you only need to keep the sentiment simple. This makes for stacks of cards being made in card making session.
Few Reminders: Paper Pumpkin starts 15th May until supplies last. Everything is Rosy available until 31st May or until supplies last.
Only a few sleeps away now! Paper Pumpkin is coming soon!
Here are the details again.
In the US and Canada, Paper Pumpkin is a Subscription Box. Here in Australia, Paper Pumpkin will be a once of purchase, no subscription necessary.
You’ll be able to purchase your kit from the Online Store as you would with any other product on the 15th MAY
Important Kit Details
Part of what makes a Paper Pumpkin kit special is that we don’t reveal the projects inside the box ahead of time. This allows the purchaser to experience an element of surprise and excitement when they receive their kit in the mail.
As an idea of what to expect (as we’ve never had Paper Pumpkin here), the Shelli kit from Paper Pumpkin includes the following:
An exclusive stamp set not available anywhere else
One Classic Stampin’ Spot® from our Classic ink collection
Paper and crafting materials to create 12 cards (3 cards of 4 unique designs)
12 exclusive, coordinating envelopes
Adhesives and embellishments for all 12 cards
Stampin’ Up! colours: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Petal
Pink, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla
Shelli describes the kit as ‘A touch of earthy and elegant spring with lots of layers and texture.’

Good news!! The Stampin’ Up! Stitched All Around Bundle is carrying over to the next Annual Catalogue, only not as a bundle. It you love this bundle and others, now’s the time to grab them and save 10%. Once in the new catalogue they won’t be on bundle price anymore.
The following cards were cased from the current Annual Catalogue. At first glance, it doesn’t look like much stamping. I can tell you there is actually a LOT going on with card.
The Crushed Curry card front has been run through the Big Shot with the perforating die to give a bit of interest. The original card in the catalogue had free form splatter using black ink and an aquapainter. I know my gals at Linc N Learn don’t get along with that technique, so we opted for a stamp from the Timeless Textures set.
The sentiment piece has been stamped and cut out with the die. Then adhered to Black Card and cut around again by hand.
A number of elements on the card – Black Twine, Black Ribbon, Bermuda Bay Ribbon, Doily (sponged in Bermuda Bay) and a Faceted Rhinestone. Makes for a very full card!
Using patterned DSP meant we had an option of 4 different patterns to choose from, tough choices!
I might even come back and do a Facebook Live for this card!
If you have any questions on this card, please feel free to shoot me an email.
