Today I have some Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions Cards to share with you. I originally saw the Yellow toned card on Pinterest which led me to Chris Smith’s Blog page. Perfect for my ladies at Linc n Learn.
We made two cards, the second in Pink tones.
The colours for this card are Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizazz and Old Olive. A little of the Honey Bee DSP (SAB Freebie) on the side.
The colours for the Pink card are Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, Lovely Lipstick, Pear Pizazz and Old Olive. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays.
My goodness I love Black and White Stripe Paper. I think if I ever reach my million in sales, I’m going to request a whole pack of just black and white stripe, but in all sorts of stripes!
Now I do have mention that the flowers from Abstract Impressions have been stamped on Glossy Cardstock, it retired a while ago, but I still have some left. Its a product we need back!
Stay tuned, I think I might make a video on this one.. maybe purples?? What do you think?
Did you see that I’m doing a massive Stampin’ Blends Giveaway? It’s HUGE!!! And I’m so excited to be giving away the ENTIRE Stampin’ Blends Collection. Over $580 worth will be going to one lucky person!
Today I’m sharing some Honey Bee Birthday Cards. Yesterday was Linc N Learn day. I’ve got a pretty big class this year (8 of us) and we have 2 hours plus morning tea to get our cards created. I’ve CASE’d myself this this but made different colours.
Above uses Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry. The strip of DSP down the side is from the Golden Honey DSP which is a FREE Level 1 item during SAB.
This card uses Purple Posy, Highland Heather and Crushed Curry.
Today is a super quick post. Don’t forget my monthly draw. Each $50 spend will get your name in the ‘hat’. I’ll draw a name to win the Little Ladybug Stamp Set. I’ll have one final set up for grabs next month.
And the gift with purchase for February is the Gold Glitter Dots, you don’t want to miss out on them!
I don’t think it’s a secret that I think The Gang’s All Meer is a little creepy! Especially that meerkat with the big toothy grin… but my friend Paula Dobson has encouraged me to pull it out. And…. okay, some of the kats are cute.
I started my card by taking a piece of Whisper White and Ink Blending 4 colours onto my card. If you click on either of the photos, you’ll be able to see all the products I’ve used for my cards, minus the two Sale a Bration items. After Ink Blending, I embossed the card with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder which is part of a Level 2 Sale A Bration bundle. I then watered down some White Craft Ink and flicked it onto the card with my AquaPainter.
If you haven’t watched my video on Ink Blending, you can find it HERE
My little Meerkats have been coloured with Blends. After colouring and while assembling, I felt that my focal image was too small for the card. A vellum layer behind your focal image helps fill the space without taking away from my background (which I LOVE)
I finished the card off with a few of the Iridescent Sequins.
So… maybe they’re not so creepy after all, what do you think?
I am so excited to share projects with you from demonstrator friends around the world all using the Country Club Designer Series Paper. I am honored to be a part of this design team and love that we can all share projects using the same DSP. Make sure to check out all the blogs (list at the bottom) and enjoy these projects from around the world.
I am going to start off by saying that I have absolutely no interest in golf, nor do I like all the tartan and check in the paper… BUT I love the way my card turned out!
I had forgotten that a whole 2 sheets of the paper where images of golfers, both male and female that you can colour in! So awesome. I picked a female image to colour (I have no need for more male cards) and decided to go bright and colourful despite the muted tones in the paper.
I’ve used the Stampin’ Blends to colour my image. To see all the colours and products I’ve used, just click on either of the photos. Now, none of the colours I picked coordinate with any of the colours used in the DSP. I chose to use the gray tartan (I think it’s tartan and not check – does it really matter?) and tie it all together with the colour of my Happy Birthday sentiments.
I then just finished my card with a few of the clear sequins from the Peaceful Poppies suite, and what you can’t see, is a little bit of Wink of Stella on the outfit of our golfer gal.
Now I just need to find someone who golfs and who’s Birthday is coming up!
So now it’s time to see what the rest of the Design Team has made using the DSP. Make sure to visit everyone to see all the fun things you can do with this paper.
