Fun Fold Card using Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper

by Alisa Tilsner, in category Cards

Hi Stamping Friends! Today I have a Fun Fold Card using Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. It’s similar to the other card I posted a little while back. The folds are a little different and there’s a cute peek a boo window.

Paper Blooms DSP

Don’t mind the little clip on the bottom, I needed to keep the front closed! It’s not part of the card! Click on any of the Photo’s and you’ll be able to see a list of the products used for all samples.

Here are the other samples I showed in the video:

Berry Blessings DSP
Hydrangea Hill DSP
True Love dsp

It’s a fun and easy card to make don’t you think?

Some of the papers are free with Sale A Bration. For every $90 (level 1) or $180 (level 2) order will get you a freebie during February. OR you might like to join our stamping community. The kit is only $169, you pick $235 worth of product, Stampin’ Up! will throw in $100 worth of DSP too (only during Sale a Bration). At the moment demonstrators have a preorder of a gorgeous new collection that you could get in your kit. If you love Butterflies, this is for you!

Cheers for now

Inlaid Floating Technique with Stampin’ Up! Dies

by Alisa Tilsner, in category Cards

Hey stamping friends, today I’m sharing an Inlaid Floating Technique with Stampin’ Up! dies. This is a super fun technique that I hope is new to you. It was for me.

Cardmaking Technique

The colours I used for the above card are Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo.

Here’s the replay of my Facebook Live:

These are the other samples I had in my video:

card making technique

This card uses the Stitched Triangle Dies and the Perennial Petals Die from the Pretty Perennials Bundle. The colours are Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green.

card making technique

I’ve used the Stitched Rectangle Dies and Poppy Moments (not Poppy Parade as I said in the video – that’s a colour!) For the floating part, I used the Oh So Ombre DSP which is a free Sale a Bration item when your order reaches $90.

Don’t forget that Sale a Bration only has 1 month left to go. It ends on Feb 28th this year instead of at the end of March. If you’d like to join, and do before the 2nd Feb, you’ll be able to come along to our Team Stamping Night via Zoom on Tuesday Night 🙂

Quickest Flowering Cactus Card Ever

by Alisa Tilsner, in category Cards

It’s the quickest Flowering Cactus Card EVER!! That might be an exaggeration, but it was pretty darn quick to put together!

Flowering Cactus

The Flowering Cactus is a product medley that contains Stamp Set, Dies, 6×6 DSP, two reels of Twine, and a heap of die cut Felt sheets. The colours are Calypso Coral, Highland Heather, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz.

Flowering Cactus

Here’s what I used for my card:

  • Mossy Meadow Card Base 10.5cm x 21cm – it’s a nice little square card.
  • DSP 9.5cm x 9.5cm – Adhere this to the card base.
  • DSP – on the reverse side of the piece I used is a heap of printed cactus and flowers. I cut one out with the matching dies.
  • Calypso Coral 9.5cm x 2cm – I cut the right hand edge on an angle, similar to one of the samples in the catalogue. Adhere this to the card front.
  • Whisper White – Stamp your sentiment in Mossy Meadow Ink to tie in with the card base. Trim it close, and cut the ends on an angle to match the Calypso Coral card.
  • Adhere your die cut cactus to the card front with Dimensionals to give it some lift. Also adhere your sentiment to the card front, overlapping your cactus. Place Dimensionals on the left hand side, but use regular adhesive where it sits on the cactus. This will help it sit even.
  • Small Felt Flowers – Adhere these to your cactus with Glue Dots. The felt flowers come in 3 different sizes.
  • Bling – I used the new Opal Rounds for my bling, but you could use anything sparkly.
  • Insert – As the card base is dark, I cut a piece of Whisper White to 9.5cm x 9.5cm and adhered to the inside. You could stamp some of the flower images in Calypso Coral to match the front if you like. Don’t forget to stamp them on your Envelopes too!

Such a great Product Medley, and if by some chance you happen to use up all your DSP and embellishments, you can purchase a refill kit!

Before I go, what do you think of my new Blog Look? Let me know in the comments!

Card Base from Flower & Field DSP

by Alisa Tilsner, in category Cards, Videos

Hi Friends, today I’m showing you how to create a card with the card base from Flower & Field DSP.

Flower & Field DSP

Looks just like a normal card right? Wrong! The entire card base is DSP!! Whaaaat?? Check out the Facebook Replay below.

For quick reference:

  • Cut the DSP to 13cm x 30cm (or whatever size you want your card height to be, normal card size is 14.9cm)
  • Turn DSP upside down, score at 10.5cm and 21cm
  • Turn right way up, fold score lines
  • Decorate front
  • Decorate last panel with a space to write

Here’s the second card I made using the Fine Art Floral DSP.

Fine Art Floral DSP

I think it’s the perfect stepped up wow card that takes no time at all. What do you think?

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Perennials

by Alisa Tilsner, in category Cards

Hi stamping friends, today’s card is using the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Perennials stamp set. AND… It’s a CASE! There’s usually at least one card in the new Catalogues that gets me, I have to CASE it, and this catalogue was no exception!

Stampin Up Pretty Perennials

Such a bright and happy card don’t you think? This set comes as a bundle with a matching die set. The stamp set is photopolymer and has 21 images in it. The die set contains 23 dies. I did have to hand cut the Happy, which is why it looks a little dodgy!!

stampin up pretty perennials

Here’s the list of products that I’ve used in the card:

  • Pretty Perennials Stamp Set
  • Whisper White Card 10.5cm x 26cm, scraps
  • Coastal Cabana Card 10cm x 6cm
  • Melon Mambo Card 6cm x 5.5cm
  • Memento Black Ink
  • Melon Mambo Ink
  • Old Olive Ink
  • Crushed Curry Ink
  • Mango Melody Ink
  • Coastal Cabana Ink
  • Versamark Ink
  • Painted Labels Dies
  • White Embossing Powder & Heat Tool
  • Baby Cut & Emboss Machine
  • Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon

It looks like a lot, but it’s mostly ink colours. The card itself didn’t take too long to make.

I think I’ll be creating a Class by Mail along this theme, keep your eyes peeled for it.

All products can be ordered from my Online Store.

Don’t forget, Sale A Bration time is also the perfect time to join my team of stampers! You’ll get an extra $100 worth of DSP in your kit.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask 🙂

Stampin Up Sweet Strawberry and Berry Delightful Paper

by Alisa Tilsner, in category Cards

I’ve got more Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry and Berry Delightful Paper to share with you today.

You’ve already seen the Sweet Strawberry Bundle from the card I posted the other day, today I’ve teamed it up with the Berry Delightful Paper from the Sale a Bration brochure.

Sweet Strawberry

The Paper is GORGEOUS. It’s a part of a Level 2 Sale a Bration Freebie (spend of $180). The item consists of a 13 piece stamp set called Berry Blessings, and a pack of 12×12 DSP. The DSP compliments both the Berry Blessings Stamp Set and the Sweet Strawberry Bundle. You can have Strawberries, Blueberries and Mulberries (they look like mulberries to me)

Sweet Strawberry

For my card, I started with a base of Whisper White Thick (finished size 10.5cm x 13cm). I cut my paper to 10cm x 12.5cm, then for the top card, I cut it at the 3cm mark and flipped it over. For the bottom card, I cut again at 9cm and flipped it over.

The circle is the 3rd smallest from the Stitched Shapes Dies, and is cut from Shaded Spruce. My Strawberry is Poppy Parade and Shaded Spruce. For the sentiment I’ve stamped on White with Shaded Spruce, trimmed to just under 2cm, and punched each end with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

I actually made another 2 varieties, but just changing the paper around, so the strawberry seeds were the main attraction instead of the berries.

Now, I know you’re all hanging out for the 5th when the new Catalogues go live, but don’t forget that the End Of Year Sale is still on until the 4th Jan.

I’ll also be closing my Stamp by Mail and Product Shares on the 4th. Don’t miss out if you’ve been wanting to take part in these.

Cheers for now – Alisa

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry Bundle

by Alisa Tilsner, in category Cards

Sneak peek at the new Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry Bundle! So delightful and fresh!

Sweet Strawberry Bundle

This set is all things Strawberries. There are 16 Photopolymer Stamps. Two step stamping for the berries, toppers, leaves, blossoms, and also 5 sentiments. The bundle also contains a Builder Punch to cut out the strawberry, topper, leaf and blossom.

The other great thing about this set, is that there is a Level 2 ($180 spend) Sale a Bration Freebie that matches with this set perfectly. Also a bundle, containing other Berries, and DSP.

Sweet Strawberry Bundle

For this card, I’ve used the Brick and Mortar 3D Embossing Folder for the background. For the circle, I’ve cut two nested circles from the Oh So Ombre DSP (also SAB Freebie), rotated the outside circle and stuck them down. The opposite ombre just gives a little interest to the card.

Finished off with some twine from the Snail Mail Combo Pack.

Cheers for now – Alisa
