Hey Everyone!! Welcome to 2020 and the Stamping Society January Video Class and Blog Hop! This month we are featuring the brand new Peaceful Poppies Suite that will be available on the 3rd January.
Sometimes when I get a nice big box of new products I can feel a little overwhelmed and not really sure where to start with my creating. When this happens, I turn to the Catalogue and will often CASE something, just to get me going.
This is the case with the card I’ve created for our Blog Hop. Only, I’ve taken a tag from the catalogue and turned it into the focal point for my card.
The tag can be found on Pg 24 of the catalogue. The label shape is taken from a piece of the DSP and cut out with one of the coordinating dies. For the Poppy, I just applied some Rich Razzleberry and Calypso Coral ink to Shimmery White Card with an Aquapainter. Let it dry and cut it out with the die. Super easy.
The painted Old Olive leaf straight behind the poppy is from the Peaceful Poppies Elements. It’s already white embossed onto Watercolour paper, you just need to add ink and pop it out, it’s laser cut too!
Once the tag was made, I just placed it on a Whisper White Card base. The Happy Birthday sentiment I used here is from the Label Me Bold stamp set. I stamped in Pool Party to coordinate with the piece behind the tag. A few clear sequins finishes my card.
