The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge 3

Welcome back to another challenge from The Artful Stampers Team.

This week I set a colour challenge using 5 colours plus white or vanilla for the team.

Stipple Blossoms

Team 20th October-001

When I have this many colours to choose from, I LOVE to go to my 2-Step Stamp Sets, and my favourite is the Stipple Blossoms Set.

I’ve used Crumb Cake as biggest colour with the base, and then as I’ve added more colour, I’ve decreased the amount at which I use them, to give balance.

Rich Razzleberry takes up the next % of colour use with the 1st Step of the Blossom and the biggest piece of purple card, next is Blackberry Bliss, Garden Green, and then the lowest % of colour is Wild Wasabi with just the base of the Leaf image being stamped.

To create my card, I’ve stamped the large flower and leaves in all 4 colours, the lightest colour goes down first, then using your Stamp a Ma Jig, stamp your detailed image in the darker colour.  A little bit of fussy cutting, but well worth it.

I’ve stamped the layer of Crumb Cake with Dictionary and Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Sets and have sponged around the edges with Crumb Cake Ink.

The next layer is Rich Razzleberry and then Blackberry Bliss.  The Blackberry Bliss was a piece of scrap lying on my table, which was 3cm wide, the perfect fit to cut a V into the end with the Hexagon Punch.

Hexagon Punch

I then punched a circle from Garden Green, and pricked holes around the edge.  Celebrate from Good Greetings was stamped onto Whisper White card with Blackberry Bliss Ink and given the same Hexagon Punch treatment  on the end.

The Blossom is popped up with Dimensionals as is the entire top panel.  I finished off my card with a few of those tiny tiny Basic Pearls.

All these product are from Stampin’ Up! and can be ordered in my ONLINE STORE.

So now it’s time to move on to the next creation by Annette Sullivan to see how she has used her 5 colours 🙂

  1. Very elegant Alisa. I love this colour combination and the way you have used it with the background banners and faux stitched circle. The flower is lovely with its little pearls in the centre.
