Okay this one is a mixture of a couple of challenge, the being a Colour Challenge from CR84FUN, and the second from Shelli’s blog which is to try something new.<\/p>\n

Hmmmmm, so my card didn’t work out the way I had it in my mind, actually I don’t know whether there was actually anything in my mind, I just pulled a heap of thing out and went from there. \u00c2\u00a0I’m not sure that I actually like it.<\/p>\n

I started with the DP Love Letters<\/strong>, it’s Riding Hood Red<\/strong>. I then used the Tea Stain Ink from the Essentials Distressing Kit<\/strong> to soften the edges on the DP. \u00c2\u00a0I then used the damask image from that set I can’t tell you about yet in Crumb Cake<\/strong> over the DP. \u00c2\u00a0I could barely see it, so then I stamped the flower image in Soft Suede<\/strong> on the DP, then I think I ruined it so set it aside.<\/p>\n

I inked up Bliss in Soft Suede<\/strong> and then lightly touched it to Riding Hood Red<\/strong>, stamped on Very Vanilla <\/strong>card, punched out with the Wide Oval<\/strong> Punch, sponged with Tea Stain, layered on 1 3\/4″ Circle Punch<\/strong> and the Larger Scallop Punch<\/strong> (still unavailable) \u00c2\u00a0The flower is inked in Crumb Cake<\/strong>, rolled in Soft Suede<\/strong>, and then rolled in Riding Hood Red<\/strong>, stamped on Very Vanilla<\/strong> and cut out.<\/p>\n

The edges of the Soft Suede<\/strong> card and Riding Hood Red<\/strong> card are all sponged in Soft Suede Ink<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now the ribbon is something new that I’ve been wanting to try for ages. \u00c2\u00a0First I ran a length of Very Vanilla Ribbon<\/strong> over my Crumb Cake<\/strong> inkpad to colour it. \u00c2\u00a0Once dry, I sealed one end with a flame to secure the fibres, then on the other end, you find a thread in the middle area of the ribbon, and gently pull on it. \u00c2\u00a0The ribbon starts to scrunch up. \u00c2\u00a0Lovely!<\/p>\n

Okay so after ALL this I then decided to use the Soft Suede Marker <\/strong>and the Colour Spritzer<\/strong> and add some grunge to the card. \u00c2\u00a0Put it all together, finish with a couple of tiny pearls<\/strong> on the flower.<\/p>\n
