Can you believe we are nearing the end of February? It feels like this short month is flying by, and my to-do list is growing! But amidst the busy schedule, I always love taking time out to craft with you all. While I initially skipped the stamp set, I\u2019m now thinking I might need to go back and get it\u2014it has some great large sentiments that would work beautifully with these designs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stampinup.com.au\/products\/linked-together-bundle-english?demoid=4000014\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">decorative masks<\/a><\/strong> in this set allow for a lot of layering, giving you endless creative possibilities. They are designed to mix and match, letting you build up different patterns and textures for unique looks. I started with a <strong>Peach Pie and Melon Mambo<\/strong> color combination, adding <strong>Shy Shamrock<\/strong> for a fresh, unexpected twist. Initially, I considered <strong>Granny Apple Green<\/strong> but opted for something different. To add depth, I layered different stencils and even tried <strong>white ink<\/strong> over the top for a subtle highlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Stampin\u2019 Up! Linked Together \u2013 Beautiful, Bold &amp; Fun!\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/z4UYn0L7Prk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Techniques &amp; Process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Base Layer:<\/strong> I used <strong>Peach Pie ink<\/strong> for a soft background with the first stencil layer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Second Layer:<\/strong> Melon Mambo was added with a slightly heavier hand to bring in contrast.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>White Ink Layer:<\/strong> This was an experiment inspired by a sample in the catalogue. While it added a soft effect, it also picked up some pink tones from the Melon Mambo underneath\u2014just something to keep in mind!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Die Cutting &amp; Embossing:<\/strong> I used the <strong>diamond die<\/strong> to cut out my ink-blended panel and added texture with the <strong>Starburst Embossing Folder<\/strong> (a Sale-A-Bration freebie!). This embossing folder gave a beautiful floral texture that tied in nicely with the flowers and leaves.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Final Details:<\/strong> I cut some flowers and leaves from the coordinating dies, using <strong>Melon Mambo for the flowers<\/strong> and <strong>Shy Shamrock for the leaves.<\/strong> I also added extra diamond die-cuts in Melon Mambo to frame the focal point. The sentiment, <em>Hoping You Have the Best Day Ever<\/em>, from the <strong>Country Birdhouse stamp set<\/strong>, was stamped in Melon Mambo on white for a crisp look.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Finished Card<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After assembling everything, I debated between using a <strong>Melon Mambo, Shy Shamrock, or Peach Pie<\/strong> card base. Ultimately, Peach Pie won out\u2014it balanced the bright colors without overwhelming the design. I finished off with some <strong>Iridescent Pearls<\/strong> for a touch of shine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This card is bold, bright, and full of energy!
