A bold, unexpected, yet stunningly cohesive card that is sure to inspire you to step outside your creative comfort zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Color Challenge<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I used my <strong>Colour Companion<\/strong> tool to generate a four-colour combination based on the Mixed Florals Stamp Set. It suggested <strong>Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Lemon Lolly, and Pecan Pie.<\/strong> Now, I\u2019ll admit, the <strong>Pecan Pie<\/strong> threw me for a loop at first! One of the great things about <strong>Stampin\u2019 Blends<\/strong> is that they allow you to use any colour ink for a softer, more blended effect.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Leaves &amp; Stems<\/strong>: I coloured them using <strong>Granny Apple Green<\/strong> with a touch of <strong>Lemon Lolly<\/strong> on the tips for added dimension.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Floral Blooms<\/strong>: Instead of traditional yellow daisies, I opted for a bold <strong>Melon Mambo<\/strong> to create high contrast.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Background Filler Flowers<\/strong>: These were kept soft with <strong>Lemon Lolly<\/strong>, blending beautifully into the composition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Floral Centers<\/strong>: I added texture by stippling dots of <strong>Pecan Pie<\/strong> and <strong>Lemon Lolly<\/strong> to give the appearance of depth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Stampin&#039; Up! Then, I layered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Melon Mambo cardstock<\/strong> with ink blending around the edges for added richness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Diagonal stripes of Pecan Pie Designer Series Paper<\/strong> to introduce a bit of an earthy, grounding element.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accent strips of Lemon Lolly and Granny Apple Green cardstock<\/strong> for contrast and balance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To add texture and interest, I stamped a background pattern with <strong>Pecan Pie ink<\/strong> using one of the images from <strong>Elements of Text Stamp Set<\/strong>.  A few ink splatters images from the same stamp set tied the whole design together beautifully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Finishing Touches &amp; Embellishments<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To complete the card, I chose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>White twine<\/strong> wrapped around the layers and tied in a delicate bow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A heat-embossed \u201cHappy Birthday\u201d sentiment<\/strong> on Melon Mambo cardstock using <strong>Versamark &amp; White Embossing Powder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pecan Pie Ribbon Dots<\/strong> for a bit of glossy shine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Final Thoughts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While this color combination initially scared me, I THINK I love how it turned out!
