Testing Your Colour Blends<\/strong><br>Before committing to paper, I tested various blends of Stampin\u2019 Blends markers to ensure a smooth transition from <strong>Dark Calypso Coral<\/strong> to <strong>Peach Pie<\/strong>. This avoids unwanted harsh lines and helps visualise how colours sit together\u2014especially when matching patterned paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Ombre Colouring on the Parrot<\/strong><br>By starting light on the head and blending into darker tones down the body, we created a natural gradient that mimics birds in the wild. The Lost Lagoon wings tied everything together with the paper beautifully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Layering to Create Depth<\/strong><br>The finished layout included a <strong>Lost Lagoon base<\/strong>, layered DSP background, a die-cut circle for contrast, and floral and bird elements popped up on <strong>dimensionals<\/strong>. Whether you tuck the bird behind or in front of the flowers (yes, that debate went on for a while!), the dimension adds life and movement to the card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Customising Embellishments<\/strong><br>I used <strong>Antique Pearls<\/strong> coloured with <strong>Calypso Coral Stampin\u2019 Blends<\/strong> to match the floral tones. Two layers of ink gave a rich, glossy finish that\u2019s still pearlescent underneath\u2014a subtle but stunning detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cardmaking Tips:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Die-cut sentiment strips after stamping<\/strong> if you\u2019re a perfectionist\u2014it\u2019s far easier to centre them this way!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shrink your top panel slightly<\/strong> if your focal shape feels \u201clost\u201d in the layout\u2014it tightens the composition and keeps eyes on your main image.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tuck vs. Layer<\/strong>: Tucking your parrot behind the flowers gives a sense of natural hiding in foliage, while layering in front makes it a clear focal point. You choose!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This card perfectly blends softness with character, and the colour play makes it endlessly adaptable. Whether you&#8217;re tucking your parrot behind or letting it shine out front, one thing is clear\u2014 <strong>Stampin Up<\/strong> <strong>Gallery Blooms and Stampin Up Feathered Fun<\/strong> are a match made in crafty heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These products are available as of the 6th May.
