After some time away and a bout of illness, I was so happy to return to my Thursday Lives with a fun technique and a gorgeous new product from Stampin\u2019 Up! \u2013 the <strong>Perfectly Pears Bundle<\/strong>. This set is part of a broader suite released in July, and it\u2019s already a firm favourite in my craft room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week, I paired the Perfectly Pears Bundle with Day 3 of our <strong>31-Day Back to Creating Challenge<\/strong> happening over in my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/alisatilsnerscardmakingcommunity\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/alisatilsnerscardmakingcommunity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook group<\/a>. The prompt? SIP \u2013 just <strong>Stamps, Ink, and Paper<\/strong>. No dies. No embellishments. The images in this set are two-step stamps, with detailed outlines and watercolour-style filler stamps that give you a soft, hand-painted look. But for this project, I used only the outline images \u2013 and that\u2019s where the real fun began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"White Wash Watercolour Technique using the Stampin&#039; Up! Painterly Pears Suite\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wzSn4syNaxc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technique: White Craft Ink Underpainting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This technique is ideal for coloured cardstock. I started by <strong>white heat embossing<\/strong> the pear image onto Lemon Lolly cardstock. Then, I used <strong>Whisper White craft ink<\/strong> with an aqua painter to \u2018paint\u2019 the pear and leaf areas. This creates a soft base layer that allows your colours to sit on top with a beautiful, luminous quality \u2013 especially useful on coloured backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the white layer dried, I painted over it with ink from the lid of my Stampin\u2019 Up! pads \u2013 <strong>Darling Duckling<\/strong>, <strong>Mossy Meadow<\/strong>, and <strong>Old Olive<\/strong> \u2013 using a slightly dry brush for more control. Because of the white underpainting, the colours remained vibrant and blendable, even on the Lemon Lolly base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I added subtle grounding with <strong>Pecan Pie<\/strong> ink, giving the pear a sense of weight and dimension. Although I skipped the dies and embellishments, I still added visual depth with ink blending around the focal panel and a white embossed sentiment on Mossy Meadow cardstock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result?
