If you\u2019ve been following along, you\u2019ll know I\u2019m opening one door each week leading up to Christmas, sharing a new creative idea every Monday during my Lives. To give it more depth, I layered  with <strong>Crumb Cake<\/strong> and <strong>Misty Moonlight<\/strong> cardstock pieces. I lightly <strong>ink-blended around the edges<\/strong> of both colours to add a bit of shadow and warmth \u2014 it\u2019s a subtle detail that really ties the layers together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The floral images are from the Stamp Set included with the Advent Calendar. I stamped them in <strong>Misty Moonlight<\/strong>, die-cut them with the coordinating dies, and then layered the outlines over the solid flowers. Each bloom is popped up on <strong>Stampin\u2019 Dimensionals<\/strong> for extra depth, and I tucked in a few neutral die-cut leaves in <strong>Crumb Cake<\/strong> for balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After photographing my card, I couldn\u2019t resist adding a little <strong>Wink of Stella<\/strong> to the petals \u2014 it gives just the right amount of shimmer without overpowering the design. The finishing touch is a trio of <strong>Drusy Gems<\/strong> in the flower centres. I love the sparkle they bring!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Sentiment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the greeting, I stamped the sentiment and then cut the word apart \u2014 <strong>BIG<\/strong> and <strong>thanks<\/strong> \u2014 to create a bold focal sentiment. The contrast of block and script fonts makes it stand out perfectly against the layered background. It\u2019s clean, modern, and fits beautifully with the Colour INKspiration theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Challenge Worth Joining<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you haven\u2019t joined a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/349642308720075\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colour INKspiration Challenge<\/a><\/strong> before, it\u2019s such a great way to stretch your creativity. Each fortnight we\u2019re given a gorgeous photo inspiration and a specific colour combination to work with \u2014 and this one, with its soothing coastal tones, is perfect for cards that feel calm yet stylish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You don\u2019t have to be on the Design Crew to play along \u2014 just make a project using the challenge colours and share it in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/349642308720075\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colour INKspiration Facebook Group<\/a><\/strong>. It\u2019s a wonderful community of Stampin\u2019 Up! enthusiasts who love seeing how others interpret the same palette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Try It Yourself<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve got the <strong>12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar<\/strong>, why not open up Door 1 and give this card a try?
