Lovely Arrangements Bundle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you love a crisp, modern floral card with <em>just<\/em> enough texture to feel special, this Thursday\u2019s project is for you. In my live session on <strong>Thursday 12 February<\/strong>, I went back to a colour combo I couldn\u2019t stop thinking about: <strong>Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, and Smoky Slate<\/strong>. It started as a Colour Inkspiration challenge palette, but it quickly became one of those \u201cwhy haven\u2019t I used this more?\u201d combinations.  And the best part? The flowers look like they\u2019ve been carefully coloured\u2026 but they weren\u2019t. Then, instead of reaching for Stampin\u2019 Blends, I used a <strong>blending brush with Azure Afternoon<\/strong> and focused the ink mainly in the <strong>centre of the flower<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s the whole trick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By keeping the colour concentrated in the middle and letting it fade naturally toward the edges, you get instant depth and vibrancy without any detailed colouring. It\u2019s fast, forgiving, and ideal when you\u2019re crafting on the fly (or, let\u2019s be honest, making a card two hours before you need it).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want even more intensity, simply go back in for a second (or third) pass in the centre. The embossing keeps your lines crisp while the ink blending does all the heavy lifting.<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.kb-image17717_995edf-c1 .kb-image-has-overlay:after{opacity:0.3;}<\/style>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building the palette: leaves and layers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the leaves, I stamped them in <strong>Smoky Slate<\/strong> and die cut them, then added one <strong>solid leaf die cut in Balmy Blue<\/strong> to tie in the third colour without needing to use Balmy Blue ink at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That balance is what makes this colour trio work so well:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Azure Afternoon<\/strong> brings the punch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Smoky Slate<\/strong> keeps it grounded and elegant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Balmy Blue<\/strong> softens everything and adds a gentle contrast<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<style>.kb-image17717_8fca64-92 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Simple layout, elevated with texture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This card leans minimal, but it doesn\u2019t feel plain because of the texture choices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>Smoky Slate panel<\/strong> embossed with the <strong>Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder<\/strong> (I ran it as if it were a 3D folder for deeper texture)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A light <strong>Smoky Slate ink blend<\/strong> over the embossed panel to highlight the ridges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A punched <strong>Azure Afternoon circle<\/strong> to anchor the floral cluster<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The layout is intentionally off-centre and slightly layered, which gives it a modern, \u201cdesigner\u201d feel without class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sentiment and finishing touches<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I stamped a simple <strong>Happy Birthday<\/strong> in <strong>Azure Afternoon<\/strong> on white, then used a rectangle die to cut it. That die adds a subtle raised edge that makes the sentiment look finished even before you pop it up on Dimensionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For embellishments, I kept it clean with a few <strong>white glossy dots<\/strong> (perfect when your card already has plenty of texture).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And then\u2026 a fun twist: <strong>Wink of Stella on the background stripes<\/strong>, not the flower.
