I had the brand new Stampin Up Delicate Whispers Bundle on my desk, and once I started playing, I couldn\u2019t stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This suite is elegant, detailed, and beautifully coordinated. It gives that high-end, layered look without needing to add lots of embellishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the real challenge for this project was colour matching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Stampin&#039; Up! Delicate Whispers Bundle | Layering Stampin&#039; Blends to Create a NEW Colour\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/q7oOtHleQ04?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Recreate Hydrangea Hue with Stampin\u2019 Blends<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because we don\u2019t yet have Hydrangea Hue in ink pads, cardstock or Stampin\u2019 Blends, I experimented with layering colours to create a close match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s what worked best:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Light Fresh Freesia (full coverage base)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dark Balmy Blue (two layers over the top)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Order matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you apply the blue first and then the purple, it reads too purple. By laying down Fresh Freesia first and then layering Balmy Blue on top, the colour reads more blue-based, which better reflects the Hydrangea Hue tone in the paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You must colour solidly. Fading into white will show streaks and uneven layering.
