Yep. That pile. It\u2019s such a nice way to do it. No stopping and starting. Just colour, cut, and then you\u2019ve got everything ready when you feel like making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I used Stampin\u2019 Blends for mine, but I didn\u2019t do anything too precise. Especially on the pots\u2026 I kind of scribbled and dabbed rather than colouring neatly. Left some white space in the middle. It gives a bit of texture without trying too hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I quite like that slightly messy look. You do have to wiggle it in and out a few times to loosen everything up. But once it settles, it actually works really nicely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I love that it feels a bit different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You slide the panel out, and then the gate fold opens up properly. No bulky layers. Just glue and thin layers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Normally I\u2019d pop those florals up for a bit of dimension \u2014 especially the pots, I love them \u2014 but in this case, flat works better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although\u2026 I am thinking next time I might try those really thin foam adhesive strips just along the edges. That could give a <em>tiny<\/em> bit of lift without stopping the panel from sliding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ll see. It helps separate the layers, especially when you\u2019ve got similar tones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I used one of the scalloped dies from the Bordered in Beauty Dies for a soft edge. I like that it\u2019s not perfectly even\u2026 gives it a bit of movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then just a simple sentiment from Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set to finish it off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oh\u2026 and a couple of dots at the end. I nearly forgot those (which is very on-brand for me).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Pocket Gate Fold Card | Stampin&#039; Up! | Artisan Sketched Garden Paper\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6L-ZYop9Ess?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What I\u2019d try next<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I kept thinking while I was making it\u2026 this would work really well with Paper Pumpkin pieces too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pre-cut elements, flatter layers\u2026 it would suit this style perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also maybe a slightly bigger card. This one was 4&#8243; x 4&#8243; (10.2 cm x 10.2 cm), which is cute, but a 5&#8243; x 5&#8243; would give a bit more room to play with those triangles and the sliding panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyway\u2026 it worked.
