{"id":209,"date":"2008-04-15T15:05:13","date_gmt":"2008-04-15T05:05:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/?p=209"},"modified":"2008-04-15T15:20:59","modified_gmt":"2008-04-15T05:20:59","slug":"convention-2008","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/convention-2008\/","title":{"rendered":"Convention 2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well I&#8217;m home again after a very full on Convention in Brisbane.<\/p>\n<p>I presented a Workshop Wow on the Friday morning, but I&#8217;m not sure it was very\u00c2\u00a0 WOW as I was EXTREMELY nervous and very distracted by the mic system.\u00c2\u00a0 SOOOO I&#8217;m putting a few notes here.<\/p>\n<p>My Workshop was on how to colour with Markers.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-210\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=210\" title=\"Boat Loads of Love\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/2img_0120.JPG\" alt=\"Boat Loads of Love\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I always use Watercolour Paper whenever colouring with the markers, as it gives you time to &#8216;work&#8217; the colour.\u00c2\u00a0 You also need to use Stazon, or permanent Ink so the colour wont bleed.<\/p>\n<p>I started colouring the boat by drawing a line of colour along one edge of the image and using the aquapainter, pull the colour downwards.\u00c2\u00a0 You can go back and add more colour to the image where you want more depth, and again blend it out.<\/p>\n<p>I also like to outline my image with a grey marker.\u00c2\u00a0 If the grey is too dark, just blend it with the aquapainter.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-211\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=211\" title=\"Seaside\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/img_0047.JPG\" alt=\"Seaside\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The shells in this card were coloured first with Sage Shadow and blended with Close To Cocoa, then to deepen it up, I added just a touch of Handsome Hunter.\u00c2\u00a0 Another thing to remember is that the darker the colour, the less you have to use.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-212\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=212\" title=\"Natural Beauty\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/img_3697.JPG\" alt=\"Natural Beauty\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To colour the images in this card, I literally scribbled on So Saffron, Regal Rose and a touch of Rose Red, then starting at the yellow end, blend the aquapen through the saffron, into the regal rose and rose red, then back to the saffron again.\u00c2\u00a0 It really is quick and very easy to do.\u00c2\u00a0 Again, I&#8217;ve outlined the image in Grey.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-213\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=213\" title=\"Fishy Friends\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/img_3815.JPG\" alt=\"Fishy Friends\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The last card uses Summer Sun, Cameo Coral and Ruby Red, again just scribbled onto the image, blended from the light, into the dark and back again.<\/p>\n<p>Just one last tip, I always keep a tissue right beside me to wipe the aquapainter if it gets too wet.\u00c2\u00a0 I prefer to work with a dryish brush, otherwise i find the image floods too much.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-216\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=216\" title=\"WOW\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/presenting-wow.jpg\" alt=\"WOW\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-215\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=215\" title=\"presenting\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-214\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=214\" title=\"Presenting\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tracey took this photo of me in my glory (hmmmmmm)<\/p>\n<p>I shall be back later to brag about my awards.
