It feels like forever since I’ve done an Around the World Stampin’ Up! Challenge!<\/a><\/p>\n

The challenge for the second half of November is another Colour Challenge.\u00c2\u00a0 I must admit I was a little freaked by the colours, definitely not my colours.\u00c2\u00a0 Real Red<\/strong><\/em>, Crumb Cake<\/strong><\/em> and Hello Honey<\/strong><\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 Hmmm.<\/p>\n

Thankfully my son is going to a Birthday Party this weekend, so the challenge came in handy to make a boy card \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I love that I can use my Little Letter Thinlits<\/strong><\/em> with the Big Shot<\/strong><\/em> to create a card specially tailored to suit the recipient.<\/p>\n

\"Cooper-Card\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The card base and first set of double layers are Crumb Cake.\u00c2\u00a0 The top layer has been run through the Big Shot with the Stars Embossing Folder<\/strong><\/em>, and sponged around the edges with the Crumb Cake Ink.<\/p>\n

The Real Red panel is also double layer, with the top layer sponged around the edges.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve stamped and embossed Happy Birthday to You with Versamark Ink<\/strong><\/em> and Crushed Curry Embossing Powder<\/strong><\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 You really can’t tell that I’ve used a different shade of yellow on the greeting.\u00c2\u00a0 As I mentioned earlier, I’ve used the Little Letters Thinlits to cut out the name Cooper.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve added some Dazzling Details<\/strong><\/em> on his name (the ladies on my Facebook<\/a> page said it was fine to use glitter on a boy’s card!)<\/p>\n

The banner is left as is, no sponging or stamping on it.\u00c2\u00a0 I did add a Crumb Cake Star from the Stars Framelits<\/strong><\/em>, covered with Dazzling Details and topped with a Nordic Button<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

I hope Cooper likes his card, my son assured me that he would appreciate it \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
