\"Colour<\/p>\n

I am so super super excited to be part of this Blog Hop Group and so grateful that Sam thought of me \ud83d\ude42\u00a0\u00a0 Colour your World is going to be a monthly Blog Hop using a photo as inspiration for our colour palette.\u00a0\u00a0 This month was indeed a challenge, using colours I’d not normally work with.\u00a0 Thankfully the Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms set came to my rescue.<\/p>\n

Here’s the palette we had to work with.\u00a0 Using all the colours are optional.<\/p>\n

I did use all the colours in my flower, but only a tiny bit of Tip Top Taupe for the stamens of the flower.<\/p>\n

\"Stampin'<\/p>\n

I started by embossing the flower in Whisper White, then laying down a wash of Perfect Plum for the petals, and Smoky Slate for the leaves.\u00a0 Once dry I then added depth with Blackberry Bliss and Basic Gray.\u00a0\u00a0 I’m using a bit of Artist License with the colour of the leaves \ud83d\ude09\u00a0 I needed to get really fussy with the cutting on this one, with the white outline, too much background white just didn’t have the balance I was looking for.\u00a0\u00a0 I know it’s a pain but sometime you just have to do it.<\/p>\n

Next was a bit of stamping on the Blackberry Bliss card base, tone on tone.\u00a0 A strip of silver Designer Series Paper Stack at the base of the card front, topped with a strip of Silver Glitter Tape.\u00a0 (it’s not either of the grays in the combo, but close enough).<\/p>\n

I’ve then wrapped White Bakers Twine a couple of times around the card and tied in a bow.\u00a0 Finally, I’ve white embossed the sentiment directly onto the card, and used Dimensionals to mount the flower.\u00a0 Oh! and a sprinkle of Rhinestones to top off the bling.<\/p>\n
