I think the team are trying to kill me!!\u00a0 I’ll just show you what I mean:<\/p>\n

It just screams Alisa Tilsner doesn’t it!!\u00a0 It screams “I’m trying to kill you!”<\/p>\n

So I tried to work these colours but I don’t think I succeeded very well.\u00a0 I can see something I need to change already.\u00a0 I might just do that later too (running so late with my card as usual).<\/p>\n

\"Birthday<\/p>\n

I tried to go with a Vintage feel, but lets face it, I suck at it!\u00a0 It’s out of my comfort zone.<\/p>\n

I’ve started by colouring the Birthday Blooms flower with Cherry Cobbler and then added some depth using Cajun Craze which really took the pink out of the Cherry Cobbler.\u00a0 I’m thinking that maybe I should have used them in the opposite order.\u00a0 It may have stayed a pinker shade.\u00a0 Leave are Always Artichoke.<\/p>\n

The base of the card is Sahara Sand stamped lightly with Hardwood in Sahara Sand Ink.\u00a0 I’ve then used the Basic Grey to sponge around the edges of the card.<\/p>\n

I placed down some Lace Ribbon in a ruffled style and then literally just snipped a piece of Cherry Cobbler ribbon and stuck it on the front.\u00a0 I’ve never done ribbon like this, it’s always been tied in a bow or knot. I think I like it!<\/p>\n

The big boo boo that stands out to me so much now is the Happy Birthday, stamped with the Alphabet Labeler Set.\u00a0 I’m almost positive it should have been in Cherry Cobber now instead of Always Artichoke.\u00a0 It sort of feels a bit washed away and doesn’t balance the card correctly.\u00a0 I do however like the way the some of the letters are stamped darker than others.\u00a0 If I hadn’t left my card to the last minute I would have had time to restamp *rolls eyes*<\/p>\n

Little Basic Pearls have been added around the flower.\u00a0 I haven’t used these for ages, they fell out of the container and onto my lap, begging to be used!<\/p>\n

Anyway…..\u00a0 I’m keen to see how the other members of the team handled this one, and hope next month’s colours are a little more Alisa Tilsner<\/p>\n
