{"id":962,"date":"2009-12-06T15:43:41","date_gmt":"2009-12-06T05:43:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/?p=962"},"modified":"2013-03-25T11:40:10","modified_gmt":"2013-03-25T01:40:10","slug":"natures-nest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/natures-nest\/","title":{"rendered":"Nature&#8217;s Nest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well my nose is all still blocked, but it&#8217;s the first time in a week where I&#8217;ve actually felt like doing anything substantial!<\/p>\n<p>Feeling a little in the mood to create something, and to colour in, so I thought while I&#8217;m colouring, I would photograph after each layer of colour so you can all see how I do it (nothing fancy I assure you!)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve used the Turtle from Nature&#8217;s Nest, stamped with Stazon onto Watercolour Paper.<\/p>\n<p>1. Using and Aquapainter (try to keep dry not wet) lay down a light colour wash of Creamy Caramel<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-963\" title=\"IMG_3286\" alt=\"IMG_3286\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3286.jpg\" width=\"576\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3286.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3286-400x250.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2. \u00c2\u00a0Using Creamy Caramel Ink again, add a little more colour on his face and legs. \u00c2\u00a0Use the image as a guide, where the shade lines have been drawn in.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-964\" title=\"IMG_3287\" alt=\"IMG_3287\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3287.jpg\" width=\"576\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3287.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3287-400x243.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3. \u00c2\u00a0Add Close to Cocoa Ink this time in the same area&#8217;s of the face and legs, blending as you go. Remember to keep the Aquapainter as dry as you can.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-965\" title=\"IMG_3288\" alt=\"IMG_3288\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3288.jpg\" width=\"576\" height=\"321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3288.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3288-400x223.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>4. \u00c2\u00a0Add a touch, and I mean a touch of Chocolate Chip Ink in the same area&#8217;s to add more depth.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-966\" title=\"IMG_3289\" alt=\"IMG_3289\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3289.jpg\" width=\"576\" height=\"356\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3289.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3289-400x247.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>5. \u00c2\u00a0For his shell, we are going to repeat the process, but use greens this time. \u00c2\u00a0Start with laying down a light colour wash of Mellow Moss Ink.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-967\" title=\"IMG_3291\" alt=\"IMG_3291\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3291.jpg\" width=\"576\" height=\"327\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3291.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3291-400x226.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>6. Using Mellow Moss again, deepen area&#8217;s on his shell. \u00c2\u00a0I&#8217;ve tried to concentrate on the &#8216;circles&#8217; of his shell.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-968\" title=\"IMG_3292\" alt=\"IMG_3292\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3292.jpg\" width=\"576\" height=\"322\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3292.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3292-400x223.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>7. \u00c2\u00a0Continue to deepen the colour in your chosen area&#8217;s with Always Artichoke Ink.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-969\" title=\"IMG_3293\" alt=\"IMG_3293\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3293.jpg\" width=\"576\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3293.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3293-400x218.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>8. As my son reminded me, Turtles have a fleshy colour underbelly, so I&#8217;ve put down a light wash of Blush Blossom.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-970\" title=\"IMG_3294\" alt=\"IMG_3294\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3294.jpg\" width=\"576\" height=\"354\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3294.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.alisatilsner.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/IMG_3294-400x245.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>9.
