Well my nose is all still blocked, but it’s the first time in a week where I’ve actually felt like doing anything substantial!<\/p>\n

Feeling a little in the mood to create something, and to colour in, so I thought while I’m colouring, I would photograph after each layer of colour so you can all see how I do it (nothing fancy I assure you!)<\/p>\n

I’ve used the Turtle from Nature’s Nest, stamped with Stazon onto Watercolour Paper.<\/p>\n

1. Using and Aquapainter (try to keep dry not wet) lay down a light colour wash of Creamy Caramel

2. \u00c2\u00a0Using Creamy Caramel Ink again, add a little more colour on his face and legs. \u00c2\u00a0Use the image as a guide, where the shade lines have been drawn in.<\/p>\n

3. \u00c2\u00a0Add Close to Cocoa Ink this time in the same area’s of the face and legs, blending as you go. Remember to keep the Aquapainter as dry as you can.<\/p>\n

4. \u00c2\u00a0Add a touch, and I mean a touch of Chocolate Chip Ink in the same area’s to add more depth.<\/p>\n

5. \u00c2\u00a0For his shell, we are going to repeat the process, but use greens this time. \u00c2\u00a0Start with laying down a light colour wash of Mellow Moss Ink.<\/p>\n

6. Using Mellow Moss again, deepen area’s on his shell. \u00c2\u00a0I’ve tried to concentrate on the ‘circles’ of his shell.<\/p>\n

7. \u00c2\u00a0Continue to deepen the colour in your chosen area’s with Always Artichoke Ink.<\/p>\n

8. As my son reminded me, Turtles have a fleshy colour underbelly, so I’ve put down a light wash of Blush Blossom.<\/p>\n

9. Then to deepen and warm this colour, I’ve used a touch of Creamy Caramel where the lines are drawn on the underbelly.<\/p>\n

10. \u00c2\u00a0This is where you can squeeze a little more water through your Aquapainter now, and do a light wash of Chocolate Chip Ink for the ground, and Baja Breeze Ink for the sky. \u00c2\u00a0I also used Chocolate Chip for his claws\/toenails.<\/p>\n
