Welcome to the Stamping Society September Blog Hop! This month we are featuring the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For my blog hop card, I’ve used the Caught in Crystal technique. The design gave me a little grief, but I think I managed to pull it all together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started with the shimmery crystal effects smeared on the Mercury Glass, and window sheet. I then dropped some ink from Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry reinkers, and smeared them together with my finger. Might want to use gloves for this technique. I then sprinkled some of the ice glitter, and placed a single sheet of tissue paper down. Once dry enough, adhere to whisper white card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did wish to use the Bauble punches from the Christmas Gleaming bundle, but it was just too thick and wouldn’t cut through. I actually thought I had broken my punch, so use my experience and do not try it!! Instead I created my own baubles with circle dies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s pretty hard to photograph, and I wish you could see more of the colour through the mercury glass, perhaps the cracked pattern would have worked better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
