Quilt and Craft Fair – Adelaide

Remember my Fishy Friends cards that I made to teach at the Quilt and Craft Fair?  Well the lovely ladies at Experitise Events published it in the Craft Fair Friend magazine  🙂

Carla asked on the New Chatbox if I had any tips about attending fairs.  I’ve really only attended two of them since April last year.  My first was at fair in Southern Adelaide, for me I was initially disappointed so tip 1 – if it’s a big fair, dont do it on your own!  The fair ended up being a success months later when the organiser of the fair, Roz, joined my team, and then Toni joined my team a few months after Roz.

The next fair I attended was another that Roz organised and it was fantastic.  We didnt do make n takes, but rather had someone continually demonstrating throughout the day.

We found that not overdoing the stand with products is the best way to go.  Pop some boxes under your black tablecloth to give some height to products you wish to highlight.  We also had Roz bring in her lounge so ladies could sit and read the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue in comfort, big success too.

I’m sorry I cant give too many tips, but I’m sure that after the Quilt and Craft Fair in Adelaide, I’ll have heaps more tips, just SMILE and be ENTHUSIATIC about all your products.
