With Sympathy Wild Rose
I was fine while I was making this card, and then when I stamped the With Sympathy, I lost my bundle a little.
Stampin’ Up! Australia have had some very sad news this last week. Our General Manager Dave Abbott passed away from a rare blood disease. My heart goes out to his wife Cathy and their 3 children. I’m so glad that I was able to spend 5 days with Dave and Cathy on the Incentive Trip. He was such a positive and inspiring man.

As a fundraiser for Dave’s family, Stampin’ Up! are releasing a stamp set called All in the Family for sale during November, all proceeds from the sale of these sets go directly to Cathy and the Children. This set is also being offered in all seven countries that Stampin’ Up! operates. I’ll let you know of the details as soon as I get them.
What an absolutely beautiful card and I really love the colour combination. Love the edge distressing too. Just so sad that it had to be made for Dave’s family. I’m sure they really appreciate all that Stampin’ Up are doing for them given the circumstances.
What sad news. I will surely look for this set when it is available in the States.
Your card is beautiful. It is the first stamped sympathy card I’ve seen that seemsw appropriate to send out. This one carries a “I care about you” feel to it while a lot of the ones I see in magazines are just another way to show off a company’s stamps or the stamper’s talents.

I am sorry to hear about Dave, (even though i didn’t know them) my thoughts are with them… I will certainly be buying the Family Stamp set when it is released!
