Spotlight on: Gallery Blooms Stamp Set
Stampin Up Gallery Blooms
If you love layering large focal flowers and mixing in classic vintage elements, Stampin Up Gallery Blooms is one to watch. This new stamp set (and its coordinating dies) includes a gorgeous large rose, smaller blooms, leaves, and detailed outlines – perfect for colouring or even using as line art. It’s part of a broader suite coming in the new catalogue, which includes coordinating 6″x6″ designer series paper, embellishments, and a detailed embossing folder.
For this project, I chose to colour the main rose in Pretty in Pink with a touch of Flirty Flamingo, blending with Stampin’ Blends. The leaves were coloured in Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green, using a fun trick of blending the colours together with just enough contrast to give dimension – but not too much fuss.

Layered Circles & Textured Embossing
Instead of reaching for patterned paper, I decided to build texture using embossed layers and nesting circles made from the Stylish Shapes Dies. A layer of embossed Gray Granite cardstock using the Damask Designs folder created a subtle but elegant backdrop. I then layered three different sized circles (in green and pink) in a slightly offset fashion, creating a focal point without overwhelming the rose.
To finish the design, I added die-cut leaves from the Stamp Up Gallery Blooms dies and flicked on a bit of extra colour using my dark Granny Apple Green Blend. Just a few strokes can add so much life to plain white die-cuts.
Sentiment & Finishing Touches
The sentiment “Just a Note” came from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set, stamped in black on white and trimmed down for a clean finish.
And of course, no card is complete without a little bling. I used the Adhesive-Backed Dots in Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink, which coordinated beautifully with the overall palette. They added just the right amount of shine.
Coordinating with Creative Card Makers Club
This card follows the same colour theme and style as the projects I’ve created for next month’s Creative Card Makers Club – think of this one as a little bonus design! If you’re already in the club, this will be a perfect addition to your set. And if you’re not? You’ve got until the end of April to sign up and get access to tutorials in this soft and pretty style.
Cheers for now
