Kind Friend

I so so so so so loved making this card.  I followed a few links from here to there and came to a place called The Color Room which is mainly a scrapbooking group, but they do have a weekly card sketch and palette too.

Here’s what I was working with.

Lots of goings on in this card.  It actually took the full 2 hours (plus a quick cuppa) at Linc n Learn to complete.

I started with a piece of Very Vanilla card, and have lightly sponged Sahara Sand and Pretty in Pink in blotches all over it.  I then lightly stamped it with Sanded Background and Sahara Sand Ink.  Finally I added some spritzing with Rose Red Marker.

I FINALLY got the knack of the flowers.  I’ve tried and tried to make them in the past, and have finally found where I was going wrong.  The secret is to cut the spiral thinly, as opposed to thickly!!  Makes ALL the difference.

The full set of colours I chose are Rose Red, Sahara Sand, Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso.

Here it is again with a different sentiment.

I even decorated the inside of the card with a similar look to the outside.

Can’t wait for next weeks palette and card now.
