The Artful Stampers Blog Hop – Challenge 15

It’s time for me to get back into The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenges.  I’ve taken two weeks off, but the girls kept going.  I’ve been thinking what to make for the last week and came up a blank so I’ve used an idea from Dawn Perry Derrick who got the idea from Julie Davison.

Mine is a wee bit different tho, as I discovered (after I cut the card front) that I had NO Window Sheets!!  I had to use Vellum instead.  I think the window sheets would have been better. And it makes it hard to photograph!

The card base is Blackberry Bliss, scored and folded as usual.  I then cut 4cm from the spine of the card.  Vellum is stuck to the inside edge of the card, and then another 4cm piece has been adhered to the bottom of the vellum.  I’ve tied some Wild Wasabi Cotton Twine around the top section, and cut Hello from Wild Wasabi Card using the Hello You Thinlits Dies.  These dies can also be purchased as part of a bundle with the Crazy about You Stamp Set.  I then finished off the front with Rhinestones (even tho they look like pearls in the photo)

The stamp set I’ve used is Painted Petals (the set we are using in Stamp by Mail).  The leaves are Wild Wasabi. The roses have been stamped with two colours each.  The lighter colours are Rich Razzleberry and Blushing Bride.  I then sponged on some darker colour being Blackberry Bliss and Rose Red respectively.  The sentiment has been stamped in Black Memento.

So when the card is closed, it sort of looks like this (Window Sheets would have been much better!)
