Last Chance for Thoughtful Branches
Hey Stamping Friends, today is the last chance for you to purchase the Thoughtful Branches Bundle. This is such a versatile set, and I’m sure you’ve seen many cards made with this set. From Trees, to Flowers, to Christmas Cards, it’s a great one to have.
Here’s one last card from me.
I’m not sure what type of flowers they are suppose to be – Lilacs maybe? – but I’ve seen cards with them on so I thought I’d have a go too.
I’ve stamped the stems which also double up as ground for under the trees. I’ve then stamped the dots in both Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant (a favourite combo of mine). The dot stamp can also be used as leaves or berries on trees.
The card is fairly straight forward, but I just wanted to point out the sentiment to you. I’ve embossed it with Elegant Eggplant onto Vellum…. say what! What!!
Okay, to do this neat little technique, first ink up your stamp in Versamark, then without stamping, ink it directly into your coloured inkpad, THEN stamp onto your card or vellum. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat set. You will need to work fairly quickly, so have everything set out in front of you. Big tip: DON’T ink in the colour first 😉
