A Christmas Cardinal
Did you know that you can print Stampin’ Up!’s MDS Stamps and colour them with your Blendabilities?
This cardinal image is from A Christmas Cardinal Brush Set, it was one of 4 images in the set and cost me just $2.50!! I printed it out onto Whisper White Cardstock at full size, and it’s huge! The bonus is that I’m also able to downsize the image.
After printing it out, I’ve coloured him in using Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Skin Tones Blendabilities. I had to trim him down really tight, even taking off some of the branch on the left hand side. This then made the size with a border on the bottom of the card bigger than the sides, and we don’t like that! An easy fix of placing a strip of Old Olive Cardstock on the Cherry Cobber base fixed that.
The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the give away stamp set that is free when orders reach $300 from party sales or from individual orders. I’ve stamped this in Cherry Cobbler.
I then tied some of the new Thick Bakers Twine from the Holiday Catalogue around the base of the Whisper White card and then mounted this onto the card front using Dimensionals.
And then you’re done!
