Caseing the Catty 136

Hi Everyone!!  Welcome to my very first Casing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop as a Crew Member!!

I’m super excited to be part of the group, and have really enjoyed using the catalogue samples to kick start my own creating.

I’ve chosen to recreate the card on page 126, which features the Daisy Delight Bundle.  I’ve kept the layout the same (which is what I always tend to do), switch out the stamp set and the colours.  This week I’ve created two cards the same but with different colour backgrounds.

Instead of the Daisy, I’ve used Basket of Wishes.  A barrell full of flowers has been stamped onto watercolour paper, coloured and cut out.  Both images have been coloured the same using inkpads and an aquapainter.  The Petal Gardens DSP was perfect for this card as there are loads of great solid pattern colours.  I’ve used a tiny bit of Pool Party in the centre of my sunflower (I know mine are sugarplum, but I’m using my artistic license here), then tied all colours together using some Pool Party Ribbon and Sequins.  The natural Twine pulls helps pull the colour of the barrell.
