Colour Inkspiration 176
Oh my gosh!! Has two weeks passed already since the last Colour Inkspiration Challenge?? How is it that time is traveling so quickly?
Here’s a look at Challenge 176:

How sweet is that Robin?? Apparently it’s an Australian Pink Robin. Boy, I’d like to see one of these in real life. Obviously they don’t live where I live.
Anyhoo… here’s my entry for the Challenge.

I probably spent waaaaaay more time colouring this one than I should have, and can I admit that I did cheat a little with the coloured pencils, but it still has the nice vibrant Petunia Pop and Granny Apple Green colours. More about the pencils soon.

I started by inking up the large flower from Layers of Beauty stamp set with Basic Beige. This is an image I’ve wanted to colour with Stampin’ Blends for some time, I knew it would take time, and it certainly did.
I did stick to the basic two blend combo (Light and Dark) for both the Petunia Pop and Granny Apple Green as per the Challenge Colours. But, then when the pencils came out, I added a few other colours.

On the Leaves, I used Prismacolor Prussian Green, Indigo Blue and White, along with Derwent Lightfast Purple. On the Roses and Daisies, I used the Derwent Lightfast Purple and Prismacolor White. As these pencils (apart from the White) are translucent, it allowed for the Blends to show through without altering their colour too much, and I used them sparingly.
Shhhhhh – don’t tell the rest of the Creative Crew, they might ban me from the team LOL!!
So after spending so much time colouring, I didn’t wan’t to cover it all up, so I kept my card layout very basic and simple, with just a pop of Black.
