Colour Inkspiration Challenge 180

It’s time for a new Colour Inkspiration Challenge!

Beautiful colours together right? Shouldn’t be too hard right??

Well….. this card didn’t really turn out as I had envisioned, but I’m sharing with you anyway, because the technique is the interesting part.

Here’s a quick dot point view of what I did:

  • White Emboss images from the Tiled Techniques Stamp Set on Basic White Card. I used the large image on the top and bottom of the card, and the semi circle image in the middle. It is a little squishy, and I did overlap a little but you can’t tell.
  • Using the Around it All Dies, I die cut several circles from the card, off setting the inner circles slightly.
  • I then used Petunia Pop Ink and Basic Beige Ink, and applied it to the individual pieces with a Blending Brush. On the outer piece of card, I also added a little Pecan Pie Ink to the corners.
  • Adhere the pieces back to together on a Thick Basic White Card Base. Make sure all your embossing lines match back up.
  • The sentiment is from Country Birdhouse and is White Embossed on Pecan Pie Card, with a little Pecan Pie Ink added to the edge of the card.
  • A little Iridescent Ribbon behind the sentiment before adhering it to the card with dimensionals, and then some Pecan Pie Dots to finish off the card.

There’s a few things that I might change if I were to remake the card. The first would be to perhaps only have 2 inner circles, not 3. As in, leave out the smaller Petunia Pop circle. And maybe add a touch of Pecan Pie Ink to the edge of the Basic Beige Circle. And of course, try other colours LOL, but this is a colour challenge after all!! I did make one several years ago with Yellows and Blue, I’ll have to see if I can find the card.
