Simple Repetitive Stamping Made Easy with the New Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Positioner
If you love clean, cheerful cards that come together quickly but still look thoughtfully designed, this week’s Thursday Live cardmaking session was all about keeping things simple without losing impact. I created a bright, happy card using a brand-new stamping tool (Stampin’ Positioner) and a soon-to-be-released stamp set (Cutest Crew Bundle) that I can already tell will be on high rotation in my craft room.

A first play with the new Stampin’ Up! Stampin Positioner
This session marked my very first time using the new Stampin Positioner from Stampin’ Up! The tool has a few features that immediately stood out.
The base has a soft felt backing, which makes it ideal if you work on a glass mat like I do. It stays put without scratching or sliding around. The spring-action plates come in two sizes, allowing you to stamp both large images and smaller images with precision. The grid lines are marked in quarter inches, with centimetres also included on the outer edge, making it easy to line up designs accurately no matter how you prefer to measure.
One of the biggest advantages of this tool is the ability to repeat a stamped image evenly down a card front. This makes techniques like background stamping and mass production far more achievable, even if you normally shy away from “perfect” layouts.
Featuring the Cutest Crew Bundle
For today’s project, I reached for the Cutest Crew Bundle, which will be available in March. While this set includes cats and dogs, it was the birds that completely won me over. They are small, playful, and ideal for repetitive stamping or spotlighting with colour.
I stamped the birds repeatedly down a Daffodil Delight card base using Crushed Curry ink. This subtle tone-on-tone approach creates interest without overwhelming the card, making it a perfect backdrop for a focal image.

One detail worth noting is that the stamped images are the same size as shown on the stamp set cover, which makes planning and layering much easier than expected.
Simple colouring with a two-tone twist
To add a little extra charm, I stamped the birds again onto Basic White cardstock, coloured them with Stampin’ Blends, and die cut them before layering them over the background. A simple two-tone colour scheme using Daffodil Delight and Azure Afternoon created a soft blended look, with a hint of green appearing naturally where the colours met.
This approach is ideal if you enjoy colouring but do not want to spend hours on intricate detail. You can easily change the look of the card by switching the bird colours while keeping the background the same. After the Live Stream, I created a second card, this time with Poppy Parade Blends.

Why this card design works so well
This project is a great example of how a simple layout can be incredibly versatile:
- Ideal for mass production
- Perfect for birthday cards, thank you cards, or children’s cards
- Easy to customise with different colour combinations
- Beginner-friendly while still appealing to experienced stampers
A small amount of ink blending around the edges and a few rhinestones were all that was needed to finish the card.

A bonus for February joiners
If you have been considering becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, February is an especially good time. The new Stampin Positioner is included free when you join during this promotion period, making it an excellent opportunity to add a high-value tool to your craft space from the start.
This card proves that with the right tools and thoughtfully designed stamps, simple really can be stunning. Sometimes all you need is one good image, repeated with intention, to create a card that feels polished, cheerful, and completely handmade.

Cheers for now
