Dove of Peace Stampin Up

Well will you look at that!!  I managed to play in The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge this week 🙂  This week is a Colour Combo and I’ve used Dove of Peace Stampin Up.   I’ll admit it is a tricky combo with that Cajun Craze thrown in.  I was going to do a flowery card as I thought that might be the easiest, but then I wondered if I could pull off a Christmas Card using the combo.  What do you think? Did I manage it?

The layout is one we used from the OnStage in Melbourne for one of our Make n Takes (I’ll show you that soon).  I don’t mind the colours actually 🙂

I’ve stamped and embossed the Dove in black, then watercoloured first with Tangelo Twist and Pear Pizzazz, the added a teeny amount of Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow.  You can sort of see it in the photo below.

And look – not one embellishment or ribbon on the card.  Once the Dove was done, the rest of the card took about 5 minutes to put together.

Both the Dove of Peace, and the sentiment set Versatile Christmas are on the retiring list, so don’t miss out on getting them if they were on your wish list.
