Isn’t always the way, you dont find a stamp set particularly appealing until you see someone else use it (namely Marelle Taylor!)
I actually found this image a challenge to colour. I had seen another card where the artist had made each of the petals and leave so independent from each other (iykwim). I didn’l like where my card was heading, put it away (the first one ended up in the bin!), and came back to it.Â
I started colouring in Pretty in Pink, then added Purely Pomegranite, followed by Elegant Eggplant and a touch of Chocolate Chip to the petals. The leaves are Sage Shadow, Handsome Hunter and Chocolate Chip. I stamped Baroque Motifs on the base card and sponged the base card and the Sage Shadow Layer.
I think I like it, maybe I’m just too critical!

When I saw this………I drew a big breath!! How can you say you don’t know if you like this. As usual ‘or colour queen’ has done it again in my book anyway!!! Bloody beautiful mate!!!

I wish I could colour as beautifully as you do, I finally found time to use my Stamps by Mail kit yesterday and did happen to use that stamp with the Soft Sky, Blue Bayou which turned out ok, I thought. I have so much to learn when I look at your work.

I think we tend to be our own harshest critic when it comes to our cards. You have done such a lovely job of the watercolouring Alisa. Love the colours you have chosen. As it is such a big stamp, I can see how some would be nervous about colouring it in as bigger images arent as ‘forgiving’. But seriously! It has such a professional finish to it 🙂

This is so what I want to see done with this stamp. I just got mine this week and am yet to use it. I think I’ll be giving it a workout tomorrow, using this card for guidance. It’s beautiful when well done and this is great!!
