Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop

Hey everyone!! Welcome to a special edition of the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop! Today we are featuring the Christmastime is Here Suite.

I’ve decided to create an alternative to a Christmas Card using the Christmas Rose stamp and die only. I’ve not seen a lot of cards using colours other than those in the suite, so I decided to step out and colour with bright happy colours.

I did take some time with my colouring on this one. Colours are So Saffron and Crushed Curry for the flower. Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow for the Leaves. Mossy Meadow for the spruce. Lovely Lipstick for the berries. Crumb Cake and Soft Suede for the pinecones. I then did a wash of Pool Party around the image before cutting it out with the matching die.

To add a little extra to the card, after running the Lovely Lipstick card through the Brick an Mortar folder, I lightly sponged White Craft Ink over the raised bricks.

The Christmas Rose image is quite a large image, and I wanted to keep it the focus of the card (especially as I took time to colour) so I’ve left the rest of the card quite simple. I hope you enjoy it.

Now, for the rest of the Blog Hop:

Don’t forget there is just one day left of the Online Extravaganza! It’s a great time to stock up on your Neutral and Regals Card, or fill in any missing Inkpads!

Cheers for now – Alisa
