Stampin’ Up! Special Reason Set
Hey Hey! Welcome to the Colour Your World January Blog Hop!
And another challenge it was! I really do love these, it makes me step out of my comfort zone each and every month.
Here’s our pallet for this month:
And here’s my card:
Want to recreate it or use the layout as inspiration for your own card? Here’s how I made it:
Start with a Soft Sky card base 10.5cm x 26cm, and fold in half. Adhere a piece of Early Espresso DSP 7cm x 13cm to the card front, placing it slightly to the right.
On a piece of Whisper White Card, stamp the large flower from Special Reason Stamp Set in Peekaboo Peach, two small flowers in Soft Sky, two large leaves in Early Espresso, and two small leaves in Early Espresso. Cut out all the images with the matching Framelits.
From Smokey Slate card, cut out two detailed large leaves, and two detailed small leaves. Stamp sentiment onto Smokey Slate card with Early Espresso Ink, trim to suit and cut a V into each end.
Adhere the detailed leaves slightly off on the stamped leaves. Adhere the Peekaboo Peach flower to the card front using a strip of dimensionals in the middle of the flower. Arrange and adhere the Soft Sky flowers and leaves around the main flower. Adhere the sentiment over the flower bunch.
At this point, I felt the card was a little flat, so I added a couple Bermuda Bay Sequins from the trim it comes on. Just pull them straight off the stitching and stick them to your card. Then I went a little wild with Wink of Stella. I painted the Peekaboo Peach flower and all the Early Espresso stripes on the DSP. That gave it some life!
Let us now move on to Patsy to see what loveliness she has created.

Lovely card Alisa! Love the diagonal line with the strip of DSP! And LOL about Camping the Wild! 🙂
Love this card – I always have trouble with peach and funny enough used it on a card on my blog today with the Early Espresso.
Your cards are always so amazing Alisa – LOVE your card today.
Beautiful! Love the placement of all of the die cuts.
