Stampin Up Get Your Santa On!
I was feeling bit low the other, colouring always makes feel better, bit therapeutic don’t you think? I pulled out my Get Your Santa On from Stampin Up, and my Blendabilities, along with a coffee and coloured away. I must say I did feel a lot happier after 🙂
Of course then you get engrossed in making your card, and you forget everything else.
I’ve used Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler (even though it looks a little Real Red in the photo)Â This colour combination seems to be my go to one when I’m looking for traditional Christmas Colours.
I’ve used a double layer of Cherry Cobbler, the top layer has been run through the Big Shot with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder. I’ve added some Wink of Stella over the raised stars, I think you can just see it in the photo.
Next I’ve wrapped some Cherry Cobbler Chevron Ribbon around the middle of the panel and tied it off with some Whisper White Bakers Twine. I then tied an All is Calm Snowflake embellishment to the bakers twine.
I was going to use a different shaped layer for the next Garden Green piece, but then thought maybe a star from the Stars Framelits set would be cute instead, it matches in nicely with the embossed background.
My Santa has been cut out using the Oval Framelits, and of course coloured in with Blendabilities. I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the trim on the hat and coat.
