Lovely Arrangements Card with True Blue Florals DSP
Today’s project is a sneak peek from the upcoming January Stampin’ Up! catalogue, featuring the Stampin Up Lovely Arrangements Bundle, paired with December’s Product of the Month – True Blue Florals Designer Series Paper. It’s a combination that feels fresh, modern, and surprisingly striking, especially with the addition of Daffodil Delight.

Why You’ll Love the Stampin Up Lovely Arrangements Bundle
The Lovely Arrangements stamp set is one of those versatile sets you’ll reach for again and again. It includes simple floral images, solid leaves, and an excellent mix of sentiments such as Happy Birthday, Hello Friend, Thank You, and Always Here for You. These are sentiments that work across birthdays, encouragement cards, and everyday happy mail.
One important thing to note: the stamped images are slightly larger than they appear on the case artwork. This gives you more presence on your card fronts and makes them ideal for layered designs.
The coordinating dies really elevate the bundle. Along with outline dies for the stamped images, you also get circles, label shapes, background dies, and detailed leaf dies with built-in vein cuts. These add texture without needing extra embossing, which keeps your card visually interesting while still quick to assemble.
Fast, Loose Colouring for Real Life Card Making
For this card, the colouring was intentionally quick and imperfect. Using Stampin’ Blends, I added rough flicks of Daffodil Delight to the petals, leaving lighter edges for a relaxed, painterly look. This approach is perfect when you want impact without spending ages blending.
The leaves were die cut from Soft Seafoam cardstock and lightly coloured with Old Olive Blends just at the base, letting the detailed die cuts do most of the work. Once tucked behind the flowers, that hint of colour is all you need.
This is a great reminder that colouring doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective, especially when you’re batch-making cards.

Texture That Works Hard for You
To add structure, I used the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder, which is effectively a 3D folder even though it’s not labelled as one. The raised stripes give strong texture and look particularly good when aligned with striped DSP.
The background features strips of Night of Navy cardstock, layered under True Blue Florals DSP. That navy and yellow combination is bold, crisp, and surprisingly elegant. The addition of the die-cut circles tucked underneath the panels adds subtle interest without overwhelming the design.

A Design That’s Easy to Adapt
This card layout is ideal if you enjoy layering but don’t want anything fiddly. You can easily swap colours, change the sentiment, or use different DSP patterns while keeping the same structure.
If you prefer, the sentiment could also be stamped in Night of Navy instead of black for a softer, more cohesive finish.
