Stampin’ Up! Remarkable You

Colour your World

Hello Everyone!!  Welcome to this month’s Colour Your World Blog Hop.  This month is a little challenging for me.  I’m not normally a purples gal, but liked the way my card turned out.  I’m playing with the Stampin’ Up! Remarkable You stamp set 🙂

Colour Your World

I know right!!  SCARY SCARY SCARY!!!

So this is what I came up.

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You

I was a little late jumping on this stamp set bandwagon, but I’m glad I did.  Such a delight to colour with those big open petals.  I know Magnolias should be Pinks, but I’ve used my Artistic Rights to colour it purples.

For the background, I pulled out the new Sponge Brayer…. sooooo nice to use.  I was a little skeptical at first, thinking it wouldn’t be as strong to use as the rubber brayer, very wrong.  I love how easy it was to use.  I seemed to have much more control in how the ink was laid down.

So a very simple design, but I managed to get all the colours in 🙂

AND… I have a video to share with you.  I actually filmed this live in Facebook and uploaded it to YouTube so I could share it here with you too.

Next we are hopping over to the Amazing Patsy Waggoner to see what loveliness she’s created.

Alison Solven – Canada
Alisa Tilsner – Australia
Patsy Waggoner -USA
Sophie Prestrelle – France
Sharlene Meyer- New Zealand
Sam Hammond – UK
Barbara Meyer – Austria

  1. STUNNING coloring. Loved the video, thanks for sharing it after the fact… oh and one quick question, did you use regular whisper white or shimmery white CS for the magnolia?

  2. Simple, elegant and beautiful. Who cares what colour magnolias are supposed to be – you’ve made this one look awesome. Thanks for the video.

  3. Stunning Alisa!! Love the brayered background – am keen to give the new sponge rollers a go now. I love this stamp set and have not used it anywhere near enough!

  4. Love your card Alisa and love the background using the new little brayer. Haven’t bought it yet thinking I might not like it – but will have to put it on my next order.
