Stampin Up Rose Garden Thinlits
Welcome to The Artful Stampers Blog Hop Challenge. This week is a Sketch Challenge and I’m playing with Stampin Up Rose Garden Thinlits. I’ve also used a jumper I own for inspiration. It’s pink and grey and white and looks all watercoloured. Over the pink areas is an open outline of a rose in black. It sort of turned out like I wanted it to 🙂
I’ve started off with a base of Thick Whisper White card, with two strips of paper from the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack on each side. I’ve then watercoloured a piece of Watercolour Paper with Melon Mambo and Smoky Slate Inks.
A cut out of the large rose, and small flower from Black and White painted with Wink of Stella is layered on top of the watercolour background. I did shift my banners and button to the other side of my card as it was a better fit. I actually added the white flower as an after thought to balance the card.

WOW – I love this…the black against the watercolour background looks SO GOOD!!!
I love the watercolour layer on the striped DSP. They both provide a great background for the rose outline.
This card is gorgeous! I especially love the black and pink combination, and the added bit of sparkle!
