So! We finally got these cards finished at Linc n Learn. I photographed the steps along the way to do up a Stampin Up Rose Garden Tutorial for you. Please excuse the photos as they were taken under fluros.
Step 1: Cut out the Rose from Whisper White card and snip off the leaves. From scrap card, cut out a circle. Glue the white rose to the circle. This will give us a platform to glue the rose pieces to.
Step 2: Cut out the Rose from any coloured card stock, we use Blushing Bride and Pool Party. Keep all of the pieces inside the outline rose. Be very careful not to lose any. You can choose to sponge around each of the pieces if you wish.
Step 3: Place the rose back together like a jigsaw puzzle, to make sure you haven’t lost any of the pieces!
Step 4: Glue the pieces into position. It’s easiest to place the glue onto the circle than the rose pieces. We used both Multipurpose Glue and the 2 way glue pen. Go easy with Multipurpose Glue if you choose to use it.
Step 5: Cut out the leaves from the rose die. We used Mossy Meadows. Adhere behind rose and attach to card front.
I have to say it was a very fiddly card, but it’s one of those techniques that you have to try at least once. I dare say it would much easier in a home environment rather than a class setting where 7 people are wanting the same supplies 🙂
I hope you do have a go at it though, it was fun to make.
