Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird
If you’re on Pinterest then chances are you would have seen the new Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird stamp set. It’s everywhere!! And it’s that type of set that you didn’t want.. until you started seeing it everywhere! So now I have it too!
Yesterday was Linc n Learn day, so we had a chance to play with it for the first time.
We started out by stamping our swirl flowers directly onto a Whisper White panel in Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo. Then we added some splatters in matching colours around swirl flowers. Once all the stamping was done, we ran the piece of card through the Big Shot with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder.
Next we cut out the Swirls using the matching Swirly Scribbles Thinlets from Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry and Watermelon Wonder. The leaves are stamped with Pear Pizazz and Old Olive.
A sentiment on a banner, and a sprinkle of Rhinestones and we were done…. Until one of the ladies picked up the Wink of Stella!! I had completely forgotten Stella!! The difference that made was amazing. We added it to the cut out dies.
This set really does have a bit of everything and can be quite versatile. You can stamp boats, kites, birds, nests, small flowers, large flowers. It really is a must have from the new catalogue.
The colour combo I’ve used here is also the same as I’ll be using for the Falling Flowers Stamp by Mail.
