Stampin Up Vivid Vases

I’m having a little play along with Pals Paper Arts.  It’s a colour challenge, I’ve decided to play with Stampin Up Vivid Vases – a set I haven’t used in so long!  Can’t get enough of that Shimmery Paper at the moment!

I’ve also gone back and used an old Sketch Challenge from the Pal Paper Arts too.

Vivid Vases

The colours for this challenge are Watermelon Wonder, Pink Pirouette and Tip Top Taupe.  When it came time to make up my cards, I discovered that I am seriously lacking in both Pink Pirouette AND Tip Top Taupe cardstock!  I didn’t even have enough big pieces of Pink Pirouette to create a proper background layer!

I also created a second card, just switching things up a little.  The vases were coloured with a base of Pink Pirouette Ink, and then depth added with Watermelon Wonder.

I thankfully had a bigger piece of Tip Top Taupe,  so I was able to mount my colour image.

If you haven’t tried out using Shimmery Paper for watercolouring yet, I suggest you pop some in your next order and have a go!

  2. I’ve always loved those vases. And you have used just enough of the Watermelon to make the card really pop. It’s so pretty. Thank you for playing with us at the PPA this week.

  3. Wow, I love everything about this card. The clean lines, the color blocking, and the stunning water coloring. Perfection in the use of these colors. Thank you for playing with the Pals this week.
