UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge
And a scary one at that. Â Well the sketch wasn’t scary, just the challenge that went along with it.
USE OUR LEAST FAVOURITE COLOURS Â eeeeeeeekkkkkkkk!!!!!!
GULP!! Â so I probably don’t use Really Rust alot, infact almost never, so you could say that it’s a least favourite of mine. Â I pulled some colours from the wheel to go with it and got Bordering Blue (another colour I don’t use), Mellow Moss and Vanilla.
So then I pulled out the photo from the other, and the colours seemed to work well with the photo. Â But I’m thinking I should have used the Bordering Blue as the base of the layout instead of the Really Rust.
And of course I’m not really happy with it as I really don’t use these colours.

- Stamp Set: Enjoy every moment
- Card: Really Rust, Bordering Blue, Very Vanilla
- Ink: Really Rust, Bordering Blue, Always Artichoke
- Other: Filagree Brads, Always Artichoke Ribbon, Sponge Daubers, Markers

Alisa, this is a lovely page and I love the colour combination. I do understand your personal dissatisfaction though (I have many of those pages!) and like Jo said, you can re-scrap. Maybe swap the Rust and Bordering Blue around as you mention? xx

What a sweet page Alisa!!! I love how you used the sketch to make a layout and that picture is totally awesome!! I do love the colors you used, I use Really Rust all the time. Isn’t it weird how some like certain colors that others don’t?? Well I love your page!!
Ditto to what Max said! Your layout is beautiful. Really, really rust? I love that color, LOL! Funny how we all have different likes and dislikes! You did an amazing job.
There are some people Alisa that can bring the least favorite colors alive…and you my friend have done just that! 🙂

It’s a very cute page! I like how you’ve used the filigree brad with the ribbon – hadn’t thought of that 😀 I’d love my ‘good’ pages to look as great as your ‘not so sure’ page, lol.
Alisa, This is a sweet page, and I think does the photo justice – the colours relate really well to the colours of the photo. However, I know how it feels to not be happy with the finished product – so, if you really aren’t happy with it, put it aside, and re-scrap the page – there is no rule to say that you can’t, is there?
